Global Warming

global_warmingDear 5/6W,

Your homework tonight is to research and define the following terms

1. Global Warming

2. Climate Change

You will also need to think of 3 ways our lives will be impacted by either global warming or climate change.

Good luck

Global warming, is we’re greenhouse gases break the ozone layer Whitch makes the world get hotter.

Climate change, Variation of weather patterns that can go on for decades.

Global warming heats the world up.
It is pollution in the air.
It is caused by greenhouse gases.

  2. Harrison

1 global warming is when the world temperature gets above avrege and makes the oceans hotter which then makes storm typhoons worst.

2 climate change is when the weather patterns or climate changes time it should happen.

1 our world would be so hot that we would be paying millions to have aircon

2 we would all start dieing so often that the world would start losing population.

3 climate change would take us by surprise and change the weather in a instant and there would be a typhoon and we would not have a warning to leave.

Global warming, is we’re greenhouse gases increse the atmospheres thickness which increses tempreture in the world

Climate change, Variation of weather patterns that can go on for afew decades.

Global warming is making the world to hot

    It ipollutes the air
we are the ones that make the greenhouse gases

  4. Jess

Global warming is the temperature of the earths atmosphere gradually becoming hotter and hotter. It’s caused by too much carbon dioxide in the air.

Climate changes I think are basically when the air temperature suddenly changes.

    Hello

    My answers are…

    1. Global Warming is when green house gases are going into the atmosphere and making it thicker therefore it can trap more heat in it making things hotter.
    2. Climate Change is a change in the earth or a specific area climate patterns causing bad things to happen.

How our lives will change due to global warming :
    1. It will melt ice caps which will then make countries flood and people will have to evacuate to other countries.
    2. People will begin to die because of such hot temperatures.
    3. Crops will begin to die and food will go low.

Oh and here are the three ways our lives will be impacted with global warming. (Typical me, I forgot to add them in my first comment) :/

    1. Because it will eventually become really high temperatures every day.
    2. It’s pollution and it’s bad.
    3. It will increase the number of deaths and the world will gradually become a more dangerous place.

  7. Lucy

    1. Global warming is when all of the greenhouse gas increases the thickness of the Earth’s atmosphere, traps all the heat in and increases the temperature.
2.Climate change is different patterns in the temperature of the Earth that go on for decades.

    How it will effect us

    1. The Earth will get too hot like Venus and we will start dying.
2.There will be a lot of pollution in the air.
3.If there are heaps of massive storms people, buildings, animals, nature and transport will be destroyed.

  8. Gabby

1.Global warming is when the pollution in the air makes the world heat up because of the green house gases in the atmosphere.
2.Climate change is when the global climate patterns change and it increase the level of the atmosphere.

1.Global warming heats up the earth and will melt the ice and turn it in to water and there floods and other natural disasters
2.It will make a lot of our animals extinct.
3.It will get to hot and cause bush fires.

  9. Savannah

Global warming is about our earth becoming hotter and hotter. It is caused by our atmosphere trapping in the heat from the sun.

Climate change is when we have different temperatures that get warmer or cooler. A stage of the climate change is the ice age.

    How it can effect us…

1 The heat will melt the ice in the poles, which will eventually rise in our land. This will then crowd the land we have left.
2 It will always be hot. This will make us dehydrated all the time. This will give us humans headaches and can weaken us.
3 We will need to find a way to live above sea level .

  10. thomas23

    1. Global Warming is when green house gases are going into the atmosphere and making it thicker so it will trap more heat in it making things hotter.
    2. Climate Change is a change in the Earth or in a specific area where climate patterns causing bad things to happen.

How our lives will change due to global warming :
    1. It will melt Ice-caps which will then make countries flood and people will have to evacuate to other countries.
    2. People will begin to die because of such hot temperatures.
    3. Crops will begin to die and food will go low.

Global Warming is where the earth continues to get hotter and hotter the reason being is because we use so much greenhouse gases that then pollutes the air and which makes our atmosphere thicker and thicker which then traps the heat in which makes the earth hotter.

Climate Change is where there are changes in weather patterns that go on for long periods of time e.g decades, century’s.

All the heat will melt the ice in Antarctica and the north pole which means sea level will rise and oceans will start to cover land and will become bigger which could eventually lead to all the oceans coming together and covering the whole earth.
Us humans and animals will start to die because of how hot the earth is becoming.
Storms will become bigger and more and more storms will occur each year which will destroy lots of plant-life, buildings, homes(human and animal homes).

Global warming……. It is when the carbon dioxide increases and makes loads of polutions

Climate change……….. Climate change is a change in the earth or special area where climate patterns cause horrible things to happen.

  13. Sarah

Firstly, I’ll start with question number two.
    What is climate change?
Well, climate means temperature. So climate change is, well, changing of the temperature.

Question one: what is global warming?
Global warming is when the suns heat comes down and gets trapped within our atmosphere. The atmosphere is our sky. Our sky used to be non polluted, but now because of us people, all this green house gas is evaporating into the air.

What are people doing to make the atmosphere thicker, and what’s wrong with it?

Well, because of cars, factorys and much more, we are polluting the sky. The sky gets thicker and more light gets trapped within the sky. That makes the globe hotter. That’s not good because, when the planet gets hotter, more water from the sea, and pools evaporate. That means drouts, then floods. Typhoons are getting greater because of the floods, and because of drouts, the planet is getting hotter. Then it goes on again, and even more people dye.

Here are three ways that peoples lives will be impacted.

1: the more global warming, the more evaporation, the more floods and drouts. People dye from floods and drouts. I’m serious.

2:the more polution, the more smog, the more carbon dioxide, the more lives in risk.

3:cutting down trees doesn’t help ether. Trees and plants breath in carbon dioxide and breath out oxygen which us humans, need.

Global warming- I think global warming is when all the pollution in the air makes the earth warmer and warmer because of all the greenhouse gasses.

Climate Change- I think Climet Change is when the air temperatures change and is hot or cold.

3 ways peoples life can be affected by this is:
1.)all the heat will melt the ice which eventually flood our land.
2.) it will cause a lot of fires on land.
3.)it will also eventually destroy everything and will also kill peoples lives.

  15. Marie

1.Global warming is when the greenhouse gases rise up into the atmosphere and destroy the ozone layer and makes the world hotter and hotter because the earth is not protected from the sun rays.
2.Climate change is when there is different weather pattens and become more extreme.

    1. The ice will melt and it will be harder for the polar bears to swim from ice to ice because there is lots of water and polar bears can drown from swimming to much and get exhausted.
2.Water level rising and people living on islands will have to move to better areas.
3.People dying, means less people and less land.

  16. Albert lee

Hello Albert here and here are my answers……
    1. In my words I think global warming means that when the sun produces heat into our atmosphere and then it provides us the right amount feat to keepus warm (sometimes people hate global warming).
2.I think climate change is when carbon dioxide levels increase hugely from fossil fuels that are created at factory’s and another name for it is greenhouse gasses( well the carbon dioxide of coarse)

    How we can be affected.
1.Global warming could become to hot and human will die as like how we saw how 139 people died due to global warming.
2.Global warming could be to hot that it will start bush fires through the role and countries near Australia and other
    places.
3.Climate change could produce to much atmospheric carbon dioxide made by fossils fuels and something could happen to the earth and the air.
    There are my answers.
    THANKS!

Global warming is when the Earth’s temperature gradually rises because of green house gasses which then makes Earth’s atmosphere thicker.

Climate change is when the weather suddenly goes from one temperature to lots of different temperatures.

    1. All the ice will melt which then will cause every where surrounded with water to then flood.
    2. The temperature of the water will rise which will then not only kill fish but also cause a lot more natural disasters.
    3. There will be so much pollution around us which will make the air a lot thicker with lots of smog.

Global warming… Our planet is getting warmer and warmer. The changes in temperature affect our climate.

Climate change … Changes in the earth’s weather, temperature, wind patterns and rainfall.

1.When the temperature get’s warmer the water cycle speeds up, causing more rain, droughts, extreme heat waves and fires.
2.There will be more greenhouse gases in the air
3.Ice will melt sooner and faster and won’t be as thick, the sea levels will rise.

  19. Dean

1 global warming is when the suns rays get really hot and start to disintegrate the ozone layer ,once there a holes in the ozone layer thay heat starts to seep in and make the earth hotter.

2 Climate change is when the temperature changes more than on average and the average starts to move up and down.

1 The temperatures will reach extreme heights and will dramatically increase .
2 The heat waves will get to some people and either make them sick or even die.
3 It will get so hot we will have to use water a lot more than we do now and then the water will slowly evaporate or get used.

  20. liam

Golbal wrming is where earths atmosphere gets so big it traps heaps of heat.

Climate change is where the temperature goes really high the really low then really high and so on.

All ice will melt and the sea levels will rise meaning more evaporation which means bigger storms.
The temperature will go so high it could become deadly.
It will also create more bush fires

  21. Alana P

Global warming is an increase of the earths temperature because of too much carbon dioxide.

Climate change is when the temperature changes from really high to really low.

    1) It will cause natural disasters like fires and floods.
    2) Crops will die and we eventually won’t have enough food to live
    3) People will start dying which isn’t good.
